Analysis of Gamebooks
Gamebooks are one of the early recent trends towards non-linearity. Seemingly everywhere around the world their markets have followed a similar pattern that resembles a bubble that dies after its burst.
Still they are an example of hypertext before the birth of WWW.
Chris Lewis from Expressive Intelligence Studio brought this great analysis of a series of gamebooks and their evolution in time. It is worth seeing, not only because of its outstanding visualisation.
